The newly approved 'Master Plan' for Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden BC, which spans a 40-year period, calls for a world class, destination mountain resort with an expanded controlled recreation area, 20,000 bed units, an 18-hole signature golf resort, a multi-use trail system with 11 proposed lifts and 4,188 acres of skiable terrain.
The plan is a milestone for the resort and the final step in the process under the Commercial Alpine Ski Policy will be the signing of the master development agreement.
"This is an exciting time for Golden, Kicking Horse Country and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort", says Steve Paccagnan, President of Kicking Horse Mountain. "Kicking Horse Mountain Resort has the natural assets to be one of finest mountain resorts in North America".
There is a great deal of Canadian history behind Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Named after the renowned river and the famous high-alpine pass, which were both instrumental in opening the Canadian West to the rest of the world, the resort's roots draw from a sense of adventure, discovery and exploration.
